Introduction

All items are entirely handmade with care and passion.
Each pair of earrings is crafted from Washi paper, also known as Wagami (和紙), a traditional Japanese paper that has been handmade since the 7th century. Made from long interwoven plant fibers, typically sourced from the bark of the paper mulberry tree (kōzo), Washi is known for being light, flexible, and remarkably strong.

Chiyogami paper is a printed type of Washi, adorned with traditional Japanese patterns inspired by the “Beauties of Nature”—flowers, leaves, birds, and waves—often seen on kimonos. Each sheet is printed by hand or machine, using delicate techniques. The result is a richly colored decorative paper, often enhanced with gold or pearlescent ink.

Chiyogami paper is perfect for embellishing journals, boxes, albums, and for fine art framing. It brings a poetic and timeless touch to any creative project.
